This project was to create an electric skateboard similar to the famous Boosted Board. The deck was created from scratch using, 3 layers of birch plywood glued, curved, sanded, and stained. The trucks, wheels and motor was mounted next. The decision was to use an electric lawnmower battery to power the board which was easy to slide and snap in place. A remote control and receiver from an RC helicopter was used to control the speed of the board and was connected to the speed controller and battery.
