A variety of animations were used to achieve this side navigation menu design. Apple's Core Animation framework was used to create the menu button animation (from the burger to the X). UIKit UIGestureRecognizer's were used to detect user swiping and display the side menu appropriately. The menu options in the side menu are fully customizable and redirect the user to the correct page in the app. This demo was using VICE content.
